Amanda Marie Olson

October 1, 1987 — September 21, 2025

Weston

Amanda Marie Olson, age 37, of Weston, passed away much too soon on September 21, 2025, leaving behind a world that is decidedly less funny and less beautiful without her in it.

Born October 1, 1987, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Cliff Goldade and the late Julie Litzer, Amanda grew up with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 2006, earned her degree in Human Services from Northcentral Technical College, and went on to build a life marked by love.

On August 9, 2014, Amanda married Christopher Olson, the love of her life and best friend. Though Chris passed away before her, their years together were filled with laughter, music, and playfulness. Amanda also embraced three beautiful girls: Bianca, Rozalynd, and Harper, and their family included the forever enshrined bulldog duo of Jax & Jude, and later her beloved Bam.

Amanda was a lifelong animal lover. She adored those bulldogs and could never resist showing love to any furry friend she came across. She was compassionate with animals and humans alike (though probably partial to the animals). To know her was to know you were loved. Those who knew Amanda will remember her as beautiful, hilarious, and unapologetically authentic. She had a sharp and wonderfully morbid sense of humor that could make even the darkest moments lighter. She was the person who could make you laugh so hard your cheeks hurt, the one who found joy in small moments, and the one who made any gathering brighter simply by being there.

Amanda is survived by her pup Bam, her girls Bianca, Rozalynd, and Harper Olson; her parents Cliff (Debbie) Goldade, Cabot (Gloria) Litzer, and Mary Olson; her sister Amy (Josh) English and their children Emily (Tyler) Kelley, Mathew, Kayden, and Carter; her siblings Robby (Michelle) Litzer and their children, and Amy Jo Litzer; her close relative Rodger Olson, and her best friend since the first day of third grade, Megan Fuehrer. She is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who adored her.

Amanda is preceded in death by her beloved bulldogs Jax and Jude (who, she would insist, deserve the first mention), her husband Chris, her mother Julie Litzer, her father-in-law Dick Olson, her grandparents Dale and Phyllis Buss, and countless loved ones who have passed before her.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the ICU nurses at Marshfield Medical Center, who cared for Amanda with compassion, dignity, and kindness during her final days. Their dedication brought comfort and peace to Amanda and her loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Amanda’s honor to the Marathon County Humane Society, so her legacy of love for animals may continue. Amanda's wish was to be an organ and tissue donor; her tissue will go on to help over 100 people in need. The family asks that you please consider becoming an organ and tissue donor in her memory.

To truly honor Amanda, hug your pets, play your favorite classic rock song a little too loud, laugh at something you probably shouldn’t - and think of her.

A Celebration of Life is being scheduled for a later date.

Ascend Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Weston is assisting Amanda's family with arrangements. Condolences may be shared at www.ascendweston.org.
