Carol Yvonne Cywinski

Carol Yvonne Cywinski, 87, of Kronenwetter, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born on December 12, 1937, in Wausau, Wisconsin. She married Ronald J. Cywinski on November 30, 1957, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. They celebrated nearly 63 years of marriage at the time of Ron's passing in 2020.

Carol and Ron purchased Coral Lanes in Rothschild, WI, in 1972. They ran the family business for 45 successful years before turning it over to the next generation. Carol was known as "Mom" to almost everyone who knew her, and her selfless and nurturing spirit shone in everything she did. Whether she was baking cookies, spending time with her grandchildren, or playing cards, she valued the importance of family tradition.

Carol enjoyed crafting with painting ceramics, sewing, and needlepoint, as well as the occasional stop at the casino to visit a slot machine. Her hobbies included backyard birdwatching and bowling. Carol's greatest loves were her late husband, children, and grandchildren.

Survivors include her five children, Tammy (Robert) Sonntag, Jackie (Dave) Kretlow, Penny (Scott) Drake, Bill (Amy) Cywinski, Rick (Carla Kasmerchack) Cywinski; her grandchildren, Melissa (Josh) Weidman, MaKayla Cywinski, Tanner Cywinski, Ryan Kretlow, Kaden Kretlow; and her great-grandchildren, Berlin and June Weidman and Ember Kretlow. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy Babcock; niece, Nicky Babcock (Josh); and nephew, Kenny Maciaz (Sarah).

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Ron; her mother, Marion (Kolbeck) Maciaz; brothers Gene Maciaz, Dennis Maciaz; granddaughter Ashley; and beloved family members, Uncle Eddie and Aunt May Jamlick.

Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 6207 Alderson Street, Weston. Rev. Raymond Connor will officiate. Private Interment will be in Mosinee Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service at the church.
