Chad Robert Seivert

January 3, 1976 — June 11, 2026

Weston

Chad Robert Seivert, 50, of Weston, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a short but courageous six-month battle with stage four liver cancer.

Chad was born on January 3, 1976, in Wausau, to Robert and Patricia (Koenig) Seivert. He was baptized and confirmed at First English Lutheran Church in Wausau, a graduate of the D.C. Everest Senior High School class of 1994, and further pursued his studies at Northcentral Technical College

From his earliest days, Chad showed a remarkable mechanical mind and a generous spirit. For nearly a decade, Chad worked as a skilled Tool and Die Maker at Gordon Aluminum.

To those closest to him, he was a wonderful son and a special friend to many. Known affectionately as the “Mayor of Schofield,” he knew and loved so many people and was quick to make friends wherever life took him. His great sense of humor and open heart drew countless people into his life. The numerous long-lasting friendships are a testament to the warmth and kindness he radiated.

Family was central to Chad’s life. He was always there for his parents, treasuring the time spent together. Chad enjoyed fishing from an early age, especially with his dad and best friend, Bryan. Chad also had a passion for his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and had a knack for building or fixing anything. As an avid Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badger Fan, Chad hosted many fun Packer parties. He was especially proud of his home, where he took care of beautiful renovations; but his pride and joy was the bar he handmade from barn wood. It was beautiful!

A dream close to Chad’s heart was his land in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he had hoped to someday build a cabin and enjoy a peaceful retirement surrounded by nature. He leaves behind countless memories, friendships, and the legacy of a hardworking, loving individual whose humor, love, and zest for life will be terribly missed

He is survived by his parents, Bob and Pat Seivert, Ringle; sister, Kristi; uncle, Tim (Alma) Koenig; aunts, Kathy Ellis, Joanne Woodrich, and Joleen Seivert; significant other, Sheila Beyer; best friend, Bryan DeLucia; special friend, Kelly Hicks; as well as several cousins and extended family. He is further survived by his cats, Ernie and Venus. Chad is preceded in death by his grandparents; uncles, Mike, George, and Glenn; and cousins, Chi and Josh.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at First English Lutheran Church, 402 N 3rd Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401. Pastor Mary Zupansic will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Chad's honor to First English Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Aspirus Oncology Staff as well as the staff in the MSICU at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Ascend Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Weston is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be shared at www.ascendweston.org.
