It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale W. Hanne, 75 of Gilman, Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully Thursday, June 18th, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Palliative Care with his daughter, Sheila, at his side, after losing a courageous health battle.
Dale was born January 23rd, 1951, to Elroy and Cecelia (Kramer) Hanne Sr. in Wood County, Wisconsin. He attended Colby Schools and became a truck driver immediately after, making it his lifelong career of over 45 years. He drove all over the continental United States loving every mile. He lived life to the fullest enjoying classic old vehicles, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family, good friends, and neighbors. He was always the life of the party, telling jokes and laughing. He loved making venison, grilling out, watching old western movies, making sausage, and listening to country music and the oldies with “Surfin Bird” as one of his favorites. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He leaves behind his loving wife and soulmate, Lynette, Daughters; Sheila (Jerry) Hauck, Heather (Kurt) Kulas, Jackie (Joel) Oechler and Hillary (Adam) Williams. Sons; Jeremy Heiden and Ricky Sazama. Grandchildren; Tyler, Kyle, Jaxson, Noah, Aaron, Hunter, Evelyn, and Bethany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, daughter; Kristie and brother; Elory Jr.
A weekend of celebrating his life was held by his family per Dale’s request.
