David Arthur Woltmann

David Arthur Woltmann, 87, of Wausau, passed away on June 14, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on October 7, 1937, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, to the late Arthur and Ermine (Pankow) Woltmann.

David dedicated 40 years of his life to his career at Conger Industries in Green Bay. His legacy at the company is remembered fondly by colleagues and friends alike.

Outside of work, David found immense joy in various hobbies that showcased his love for the outdoors. He eagerly awaited winter each year to be the first out on Half Moon Lake to ice fish, a tradition that brought him great happiness. He and his late wife enjoyed snowmobiling together. Hunting in Iola with his son and grandchildren were also activities dear to his heart, allowing him to create lasting memories with those he loved. Additionally, David was a woodworker in his earlier years, crafting pieces that reflected his talent and craftsmanship. 

Survivors include his children, Dan (Darla) Woltmann, Becky (Curt) McCrory, and Jon (Rhonda) Woltmann; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Michele (Jared) Scheving & Asher; Grace Woltmann & Tesa; Max Woltmann; Emma Lee (Shawn) Grossnickle & Riley; Joseph (Ruth) Woltmann & Abigail, Chloe, Delana, and Benaiah; Luke (Cori) Woltmann & Dustin, Elsie and Will; Allyssa (Seth) Baumann & Jackson; Shannon McCrory & Zara and Mila; Christopher (Danica) McCrory; and Hunter (Panda) McCrory. David is further survived by his brother, Paul (Judy) Woltmann; brother-in-law, Roger Seefeldt; stepchildren, Doug (Jill) McCabe; as well as friend, Billie Schmidt.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ramona McCabe-Woltmann; parents; sisters, Dawn Wasrud and Rachel Seefeldt; and brother-in-law, Donald Wasrud.

Private services are being held.
