Dennis Lee Leader

Dennis Lee Leader, 73, of Schofield, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Dennis was born July 19th, 1952, in Bell Gardens, California, to the late George and Mary (Wick) Leader. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps in 1971, in Los Angeles, California, earning the National Defense Service Medal. He married Laura (Olerich) Leader on December 9, 1979, in Denver, Colorado.

Dennis worked as an auto mechanic for many years. He worked on a lot of cars over the years but especially loved the nearly 50 model cars that he took care of right at home. He was also a fan of John Wayne movies and the music of The Beach Boys. He loved and was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Leader; sons, Dennis (Kala Bloomer) Leader, Jr., Matthew Leader, and Joseph Leader; grandchildren, Malialani Attina, Ethan & Brandon Leader, and Michael Leader; great-grandson, Barron Attina; sister, Pam Rivers. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Bill Wick and Jackie Randolph.

Private services are being held at Ascend Funeral Home & Cremation Care with interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter.
