Faye Lucile Schwarm, a radiant soul whose presence touched countless lives, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Wausau, Wisconsin. Born on November 9, 1923, Faye thrived throughout her remarkable 101 years, epitomizing the essence of vitality, resilience, and an unwavering zest for life.
From her early years, when she first graced this world with her unique blend of charm and charisma, Faye was known for her effervescent spirit, often characterized as a social butterfly who could effortlessly engage with anyone and everyone. Her wit and humor created bonds, leaving lasting impressions on friends and family alike.
Faye's professional journey was one of dedication and hard work. Her career in sales spanned several well-known establishments, including Sears, Prange's, Prangeway, and TJ Maxx. She continued to devote her efforts to her work until the age of 86, showcasing her indefatigable spirit and commitment to excellence. Even after retirement, her enthusiasm for life remained unyielding, as she was still driving and living independently at the age of 96.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Faye was also deeply involved in her community. Her love for shopping, travel, community theater, and attending concerts on the square were merely reflections of her vibrant personality. She willingly shared her joy for life with those around her, ensuring that she connected with everyone she met. Faye’s accomplishments and interests adorned her life with richness, and she brought a sparkle wherever she went.
She is survived by her devoted children: Michael (Jolene) Schwarm, David (Paula) Schwarm, Tami (Dave Braasch) Halbesleben, and Sarah (Stan) Sobiesczyk. Faye’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jenny (John Roffers), Justin (Stephanie), Jordan (Jen), Matthew, Laura (Jason), RC, Dani (Eric), Kyle (Ezinna), Brad (Erin), and Ryan (Amy), each carrying forward her spark of life. Additionally, her influence will endure through her great-grandchildren: Taylor, CJ, Hunter, Jaylen, Nolan, Marabelle Faye, Evan, Hudson, Ty, Elli, Luke, Devan, Michael, and Mia; and her sister Judi Kasten.
Faye is predeceased by her parents Herbert and Lucy Birt, her late husband Lester, as well as her brothers Floyd and Tom. While their absence leaves a void in our hearts, their memories intertwine with Faye’s legacy, a legacy built upon love, humor, and unwavering spirit.
Visitation will be held on June 12, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Ascend Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 2809 Jelinek Avenue, Weston. A second day of visitation will take place on June 13, 2025, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 6205 Alderson Street, Weston, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service, which will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lance Hoelscher presiding. Faye will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau.
Faye Lucile Schwarm's life was an invaluable contribution to her family, community, and all who knew her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may we honor her memory by embracing the richness of life with the same fervor she so beautifully embodied.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aspirus Hospice House or Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
