James E. “Jim” Ausloos, 80, of Kronenwetter, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. He was born April 8, 1945, a twin to Jerry, to Elmer Sr. and Rosalia (Gross) Ausloos in Plymouth, WI.
Jim graduated from New Holstein High School in 1963 and later earned an Associate’s degree from Moraine Park Technical College in 1968. He married Marie Steffes at Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary, WI, on April 15, 1967.
A devoted family man, Jim prioritized time with his family, coaching each of his children in youth baseball and enjoying travel with friends and relatives. He treasured evenings and holidays spent playing cards and games with extended family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; daughter, Dede Schwerin of Cecil; sons, Mike Ausloos of Kronenwetter and Dave (Amy) Ausloos of Menomonee Falls; grandchildren, Reid Schwerin, Gage, Drew, and Cam Ausloos; twin brother, Jerry (Kathy) Ausloos; sisters, Sharon Koppang and Sandi (Roy) Schwoerer; and sisters-in-law, Lorraine Karls, Ceil (Joe) Schaefer, Annie (John) Schmitz, Judy (Dr. Joe) Reising, and Dr. Jeanne (Dory) Hart Steffes.
He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Steve Schwerin; parents, Elmer Sr. and Rosalia; brother, Elmer Jr.; parents-in-law, Ben and Virginia Steffes; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Grant Koppang, Elmer and Betty Steffes, and Gerry Karls; nephew, Steve Butz; great-nephew, Kenny Coye, Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, at St. Mark Catholic Parish, 602 Military Road, Rothschild, WI 54474. The Rev. Janusz Kowalski will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at St. Mark Elementary School. Interment will be private.
