Janeel M. Westberg

Janeel Mae Westberg, 73, of Schofield, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on February 8, 2026.

Janeel was born in Wausau to the late Alvin and Marcella (Ninnemann) Kell on May 13, 1952. She married Gary L. Westberg on December 13, 1976, and raised two beautiful daughters. 

She enjoyed reading books, being around her cats, and playing card games as a family. She also enjoyed working in early childhood education.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gary; daughters, Tammy Westberg and Sarah Westberg; sister, Julaine Raduechel; and sister-in-law, Marlys Kell. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Kell; brother-in-law, Harvey Raduechel; and parents Alvin and Marcella Kell.

Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Restlawn Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum. Pastor Jim Gates will officiate.
