Kevin Joseph Schuster, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in Schofield.
Kevin was born on January 13, 1973, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Kenneth and Kathleen (Woznicki) Schuster. He graduated from D.C. Everest Senior High in 1991.
From a young age, Kevin found a passion for baking, which evolved into a love for everything related to food - its creation, its presentation, and its service. His career spanned working in restaurants, restaurant management, and ownership; most recently in food service sales. Special to him were trips to Golden Corral with his daughter, Madisyn, for the eighth wonder of the world - the chocolate fountain.
Kevin enjoyed mountain bike racing with Madisyn, as well as spending time at his cottage on White Potato Lake. There, you could find Kevin engaging in pontoon rides, fishing, ice fishing, and socializing with friends. Over the years, many family camping trips were shared with his siblings and extended family.
Kevin is survived by his daughter, Madisyn Schuster (fiance, Alex Legatt) of Prior Lake, MN; mother, Kathy Schuster of Weston; his siblings, Jamie (Scott) Lerch of Weston, Craig (Kate) Schuster of Wausau, and Cindy (Nate) Hall of Weston; nieces and nephews, Keri (Zach) Neuner of Wausau, Kayla (Isaac) Frieders of Kronenwetter, Ashton Schuster of Charlotte, NC, Colton, Marcus, and Kirsten Hall, all of Weston, Casper and Linus Schuster of Wausau; great-nephews, Theo Neuner and Cal and Remi Frieders; and step-sons, Tyler Krzanowski and Blake Wozniak. He is further survived by many friends and extended family other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenny Schuster.
An Open House Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Ascend Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 2809 Jelinek Avenue, Weston, WI 54476. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Pancreas Foundation.
