Laura Abt

Laura Marie Abt, 51, of the Town of Easton, passed away peacefully at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Wednesday, October 14th, 2026.

Laura was born on July 21, 1975, in the City of Stevens Point, the daughter of George and Linda Haka, of the town of Sharon. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She married the love of her life, Ronald James Abt of Ringle, on July 12, 1997, and the couple enjoyed 29 wonderful years together.

Laura worked as a personal care worker for TLC Enterprises. Laura was very gifted with crafting and was especially known for her beautiful diamond art and wreaths, gifting many of them to family and friends. She had a genuine heart for loving and caring for others. Laura was firm in her faith; she stayed strong and courageous throughout two battles with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; her son, Justin Paul (Callie) Abt; granddaughter, Josie Abt; parents; brother, Shawn Haka (Ashley); niece and nephews, Harlow and Cash Haka; as well as many other family and friends.

A memorial service for Laura will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, 6404 Old Costa Lane, Weston, WI 54476. Pastor Ryan Cortright will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.
