Loren Sickler, age 76, of Wausau, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at Wood Aven surrounded by his loving family. 

Loren was born on January 10, 1950, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of Delbert and Marion (Gavitt) Sickler. A proud veteran, Loren served honorably in the United States Air Force, a commitment that exemplified his sense of duty and patriotism. His service was a cornerstone of his identity, reflecting the values of honor, discipline, and loyalty that guided his life.

Throughout his years, Loren enjoyed simple yet fulfilling hobbies that brought joy and relaxation. He was known among friends and family for his skill and enthusiasm in playing pool, a pastime that often-gathered loved ones around for friendly competition and shared laughter. In his earlier years, he found great pleasure in hunting and fishing, embracing the outdoors with a spirit of adventure and respect for nature. Additionally, Loren had an affinity for scratch-off tickets, adding a lighthearted thrill to his daily routines.

Loren is survived by his sisters Sheila Rebernick and Cheryl (Jim) Buttke, who cherished him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Merna (Dave) Kleman, Joan (Sid) Hunter, Dona (David) Skrzypchak, and his brother-in-law James Rebernick, whose memories he carried with him always.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Per Loren's wishes, no formal services will be held.
