LouAnn Joyce Upton

LouAnn Joyce Upton was called to rest on August 21, 2026, surrounded by loving family, under Compassus Hospice Care, at the age of 81.

LouAnn was born June 12, 1945, at her home in Bevent to the late Leon J."Leo" and Ann I. (Budnik) Bruski, the oldest of six children. She was united in marriage to Robert G. Upton on December 28, 1968, at St. Florian's Catholic Church in Hatley. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2017.

LouAnn had a deeply loving nature and was known to put others first before herself. She was a dedicated and extraordinary mother, as well as a very loving grandmother. LouAnn cherished time spent with her six grandchildren and loved to support them by attending their sporting events and school activities.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean Laffin; grandchildren, Dustin (Kelsey) Johnson, Rachel (Mason) Dallman, Chris Laffin, Casey Wyatt, Carson (Alyssa) Laffin, and Carter Laffin; great-grandchildren, Atlas and Apollo Wyatt, Clara Laffin, and Henry Dallman. She is further survived by her siblings, Ron Bruski, Randa (Kurt) Wieman, and Laurie Bruski; and son-in-law, Michael Johnson

LouAnn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Judy Johnson; brother, Roger Bruski; and sister, Darlene Damitz. 

A private committal service is being held. LouAnn will be interred at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter.
