Mark Joseph Mueller

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Mark Joseph Mueller, who died peacefully in nature on June 22, 2025, at the age of 58.

Born on November 25, 1966, to Lloyd “Bud” and Joan (Storm) Mueller, Mark was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He lived a life marked by quiet strength, a generous heart, and a deep love for the outdoors.

Mark had a lifelong passion for cars, which led him to open his own business, Autobody Specialists. There, he combined technical skill and artistry to deliver quality craftsmanship and trusted service. His love for cars also fueled one of his proudest personal accomplishments—designing, building, and racing his own No. 97 car in the Late Model Sportsman Class at State Park Speedway in Rib Mountain during the 1990s. In a class where most drivers relied on pre-built or professionally assembled vehicles, Mark stood apart as the only one to build his own. It was a true testament to his dedication, talent, and determination, and he raced it with pride.

He was a kind and gentle soul with a big heart—always willing to lend a hand, share a laugh, or enjoy a peaceful moment in nature.

Mark is survived by his loving family: his brother, Gary (Fran) Mueller of California; his daughter, Keighla (John) Slattery of Wisconsin and their children, Emma and Owen; and his nieces Carrie (Charlie) Reif of Wisconsin and Stacy (Mike) Shedivy of Indiana. He is also remembered fondly by many other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd “Bud” and Joan Mueller.

Mark will be remembered for his big heart, his love of cars and racing, his deep connection to nature, and the joy he brought to those around him. His spirit will live on in the people who loved him and in the peaceful places he cherished most.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date, in accordance with Mark’s wish to be remembered in the outdoors.
