Robert “Bob” A. Dux, 81, of Weston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 13, 2026. Knowing his faith in Jesus, he was welcomed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” and is now walking the streets of gold.
Bob was born on April 22, 1945, in Loyal, Wisconsin, to Erwin and Martha (Noeldner) Dux. He graduated from Loyal High School in 1963 and went on to attend UW-Stout, where he studied Industrial Arts and Industrial Vocational Education. In 1968, Bob married Barbara (Domine), and during their 19 years together, they welcomed three children: Lisa, Denise, and Jason. He gained two bonus children, Dan and Amber, when he married Susanne (Eller) on March 9, 1996, blending their families. They led by example with their evident love and commitment to each other and shared a fun sense of humor that family and friends all enjoyed.
Bob was a lifelong learner and a natural educator. After college, he spent over 11 years teaching in Cudahy, WI, sharing his knowledge and passion for creating and building with his students. His creative mind led him to start a part-time business with his brother-in-law converting vans into four-wheel-drive vehicles. After moving back to the Loyal area and dairy farming for a few years, he moved to Marshfield and pivoted his career toward his fascination with technology. He became a knowledgeable and trusted local expert in computers and taught classes over the years. In addition to working at H&R Block and then owning Computer Solutions Plus, he shared his technical and meticulous accounting expertise with PC Doctors, Mueller Publishing, and others.
Incredibly self-disciplined, Bob took exemplary care of his health. For several years, he arrived at the YMCA by 5am almost every single day. He filled his life with the things he enjoyed, including biking, riding motorcycles, soaking up the sun on hot days, reading, and motocross racing in his earlier years. Bob quietly dedicated years of service to his community and beyond. He lived out his faith as a regular church attendee and usher, an aid to Hurricane Katrina cleanup efforts in Mississippi, and as an active member of the Marshfield Rotary Club. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Susie Dux of Weston, WI; children, Lisa (Nathan) Hanson of Oak Grove, MN, Denise (Brian) VanderKooy of Hatley, WI, Jason (Tiffany) Dux of Holmen, WI, Dan (Shannon) Eller of Tulsa, OK, and Amber (Steve) Muhle of Wausau, WI; grandchildren, Jonah and Ellie Hanson, Abby and Ashley VanderKooy, and Rohan, Gabe, and Collin Muhle; sisters, Marge (Dick) Rohde of Greenwood, WI, and Sharon (Darrel) Counard of Richfield, WI; along with several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Martha Dux; and his brother, Den Dux.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Highland Community Church - Weston Campus, 6615 County Road J, Weston, WI 54476. Pastor Brian Whitaker will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at church.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Careview Transitional Care of Weston and St. Croix Hospice for their exceptional dedication and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to Marshfield Rotary Foundation or a charity of your choice in Bob's memory.
