Roger Dale Eaton was born on February 19, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, at Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff surrounded by his family.
Roger's career as a truck driver, holding a CDL, took him across various regions of the country, where he lived in Anaheim, California; Indianapolis, Indiana; Phoenix, Arizona; and Wausau, Wisconsin. His dedication to his profession was only matched by his commitment to his family and friends. He was remembered for always being there when anyone needed assistance, showcasing a spirit of selflessness that endeared him to all.
Growing up, Roger developed a knack for creativity, often engaging in hobbies that highlighted his resourcefulness. He enjoyed working on bicycles for family and friends, taking pleasure in the joy it brought them. Fishing down by the Eagle’s Club on the dock was a beloved pastime, as was riding his bicycle—both as a mode of transportation and a way to embrace the outdoors. Roger also found solace in making wooden crafts, staying busy with various projects, and indulging in his interest in RC cars while often enjoying country music on the radio. He affectionately was known by some as "Uncle Ugly".
He is survived by his three sons, Travis (Emma Thilges) Eaton, Tyler Eaton, and Trevor Eaton; brother, Scott Eaton; sister-in-law, Janie Washburn; along with his significant other, Melissa Oakes. Roger was also a loving uncle to his nephews and niece, Jeffery Eaton, Sarah Eaton, and Zachary Eaton. He is further survived by his loyal companion and dog, Molly.
He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Eaton; his mother, Linda McGill; and his infant brother, Jeffery Eaton. Roger's beloved pets, Bubba and Tonnie, have also crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving a mark on his heart.
In the hearts of those who loved him, Roger Dale Eaton leaves an indelible legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering support. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
