Scott Michael Bouchard, 63, Marathon City, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital's Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by his sons, daughter-in-laws, and brother, Thomas.
He was born on October 9, 1962, at USAF Hospital Lackland AF Base in Texas to Velma Mae Bouchard and Donald Alvin Bouchard. He graduated from Newberry High School in May 1981. In 1995, he became a proud father to Dylan Bouchard and then again in 1999, to Brett Bouchard.
Scott worked at Marathon Cheese for 35 years. He retired in 2024. In his free time during retirement, he’d spend time with his grandchildren. He loved teaching his grandchildren how to play the drums and enjoyed listening to them rock out on the drum set. He was an avid lover of music, specifically the drums, which he played for most of his life. He played in numerous bands from high school, into his adult life. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved golf, which he spent much time playing with his friends. He played up until he physically couldn’t anymore. Other interests include Baseball, Hockey, cooking, movies, The Simpsons, and most importantly, spending time with his kids, and grandkids, and family.
Scott is survived by his children, Dylan Bouchard (Sami) of Merrill, WI; Brett Bouchard (Blanca) of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Ava, Nicholai, Bailey, and Owen; as well as his mother, Velma Bouchard, of Newberry, MI. He is further survived by his siblings, Patricia Simi of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, David Bouchard (Jennifer) Bixby of OK, Richard Bouchard (Diane) of Newberry, MI, Thomas Bouchard of Tulsa, OK; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Bouchard.
A Celebration of Life will be held at on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post 74, 7964 State Highway M123, Newberry, MI.
The family wishes to thank Scott's old coworkers at Marathon Cheese for the card and well wishes during his time in the hospital, as well as a special thank you to his friends that visited him in the hospital.
