Sharon Marie Jagler, the daughter of Woodrow and Mildred Groff, was born on July 30, 1934, in Wausau, Wisconsin. She was called to her heavenly home on September 4, 2025, at the age of 91.
Sharon attended the original Franklin grade school, spent part of junior high in Minocqua, and graduated from Wausau High School in 1952. She met the love of her life, John Jagler Jr., while roller skating, and they were married September 18, 1954. Together they raised 3 children. In 1972, Sharon and John purchased Townline Market where they worked side by side building a well-known meat market, later joined by their sons. Sharon and John were known to have awesome pig roasts and loved to entertain family and friends. She was a talented cook, sewed many of the clothes she and her daughter wore and knitted dozens of mittens and scarves for her children and grandchildren. She also volunteered in schools and at her church and loved tending to her gardens. Sharon and John enjoyed traveling together, and after John‘s passing, she continued to travel with friends. She was a faithful member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, where she especially enjoyed her Bible Study group.

God saw you were getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And whispered, “Come to me”.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard-working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts
To prove to us
He only takes the best.
