Gerald Hilbert Geurink, 90, of Birnamwood, died peacefully surrounded by family on August 14, 2026.

Gerald was born to the late Hilbert and Lorraine (Mortenson) Geurink on May 21, 1936. He was united in marriage to Carol J. Luebbe on July 20, 1957, at Forestville Church, in the town of Easton and the couple enjoyed 67 years of marriage until Carol's passing in 2025. He was a member of the National Guard for 9 years, and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington for 1 year.

Gerald was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ringle, and was also active with the Lions Club of Birnamwood and the Lions Club of Easton, Hewitt and Wausau for many years. Gerald and Carol farmed in the Birnamwood area for 30 years. He was part owner of Carl's Hardware in Schofield and ran Highway J Equipment for many years. He also owned an AG Bag business.

Gerald and Carol enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling, and getting together with friends to play cards and Polkas.

He is survived by his two sons; Todd (Karri) Geurink and Dan Geurink; grandchildren, Adam (Amanda), Amanda (Shawn), Autumn (Levi) Young, Alexander, Christopher, Kevin (ShyAnne), Carl (Lyndsey), Keith and Cheyanne. Gerald is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Grace, Meadow, Silas, and Alexander.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, R169950 Chapel St., Ringle. Pastor Craig Weber will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Forestville Cemetery, Town of Easton.
