Timothy A. Baumann

Timothy A. Baumann, age 56, passed away on February 12, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center, Weston, Wisconsin.

He was born on August 15, 1969.  Tim spent his life in Wausau, the son of Elgart and Eunice (Wilde) Baumann. Tim married the love of his life, Beverly Kriehn, on November 14, 1998, and the couple enjoyed 26 years together until her passing in December 2024. 

Tim was a proud graduate of Wausau West High School after beginning his education at Trinity Lutheran School.  He possessed a warped sense of humor and a steel trap memory.  Tim was a lover of history and genealogy.  He also enjoyed sharing his made from scratch baked goods with family and friends alike.

A passionate enthusiast of polka music, Tim was a member of the Central Wisconsin Polka Club and a member and  former Vice President of the Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame.  His love for music extended beyond just listening; he actively participated in singing in the choir at Trinity Lutheran Church, where he also served on the Altar Guild.  Tim was a life member of the Elks Lodge 248 and  member of Wausau Eagles Club Aerie 251.

Tim is survived by his mother, Eunice Baumann; sister, Brenda Bolin; sister, Angela Burton; and nephew, Andrew Bolin. 

He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Beverly Baumann; his grandparents, Erwin & Viola (Ringle) Wilde and Elgart & Luella (Sturm) Baumann; and brother-in-law Wayne Burton, and his aunts and uncles.

A funeral service for Tim will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401, with Pastor Jim Mayland presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service.  Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tim's name to the Elks Good Fellowship or the Eagle's Community Easter Dinner.
